Red Wings announce pre-season schedule, will take on Pens, Blackhawks, Caps and Leafs

The Wings will take on Original 6 foes Chicago and Toronto, along with Pittsburgh and Washington, in their 2012-13 pre-season games.

The Red Wings announced their 2012-13 pre-season schedule today. In their final tune-ups for the regular season, they will take on the Pittsburgh Penguins, Chicago Blackhawks, Washington Capitals, and Toronto Maple Leafs.

Here’s a look at the schedule, with the Wings’ home games in bold:

Wednesday, Sept. 26 – Detroit at Pittsburgh, 7 p.m.

Friday, Sept. 28 – Detroit at Chicago, 8:30 p.m.

Saturday, Sept. 29 – Chicago at Detroit, 7 p.m.

Sunday, Sept. 30 – Washington at Detroit, 5 p.m.

Wednesday, Oct. 3 – Pittsburgh at Detroit, 7:30 p.m.

Friday, Oct. 5 – Toronto at Detroit, 7:30 p.m.

Saturday, Oct. 6 – Detroit at Toronto, 7 p.m.

Sunday, Oct. 7 – Detroit at Washington, 5 p.m.
