Recruiting: Ty Gallagher commits to Notre Dame

The Fighting Irish just locked up one of the top defensemen in the country within the ’03 birth-year.

Clarkston native Ty Gallagher has committed to Notre Dame.

“Once I stepped on campus and met the coaching staff I knew that it was the right place for me,” Gallagher told MiHockey. “I know that I can develop my game and skills while getting a great education at Notre Dame.”

The USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program Under-17 Team defenseman and Compuware alum is thriving on the blue line for the Red, White and Blue; Gallagher has recorded 15 points in his first 23 games as a member of the NTDP.

He was previously committed to Miami.
