Fresh off a Great Lakes Invitational All-Tournament Team selection, Cooper Marody has also received some recognition from his college hockey conference for his outstanding start to 2018.

The Wolverines junior forward has been named the Big Ten’s first star of the week after recording four points in two games at the GLi in Detroit.

On Tuesday, Marody recorded a hat trick in Michigan’s 6-4 win over Michigan State. Those three goals – along with the one assist in the previous day’s game against Bowling Green – moved the Brighton native into the NCAA scoring lead.
