Regular college hockey in the Mitten is back, and we’ll be here all weekend to cover it for you. Here’s the match-ups:

  • No. 17 Ferris State hosts No. 9 Colgate.
  • No. 15 Michigan State welcomes the Miami RedHawks to East Lansing.
  • Top-ranked Minnesota-Duluth travels to Western Michigan.
  • No. 18 Lake Superior State packs up for a trip to Yost and the No. 16 Michigan Wolverines.
  • Northern Michigan welcomes Alaska.

Outside the Mitten

Congratulations to Team Sweden, who captured gold at the World Junior Championship last night. Mika Zibanejad scored the game-winning goal 10:09 into overtime to break a scoreless tie with Russia.

Team Canada bounced back to earn bronze with a 4-0 win over Finland in the consolation game.

Bruins star and former Plymouth Whaler Tyler Seguin is our Michi-gamer of the night.
