PHOTOS: NTDP Under-18 Team tops Waterloo Black Hawks in Plymouth

Team USA welcomed the Waterloo Black Hawks to Plymouth for a pair of weekend games, and the latter went well for the hosts. After the Black Hawks topped the Under-17 Team 5-3 on Friday, the Under-18 Team found some revenge Saturday, as Cam Rowe and Spencer Knight teamed up for 35 saves in a 3-1 victory. Case McCarthy, Cole Caufield and Michael Gildon scored for Team USA, while Jack Hughes recorded two assists to extend his point streak to nine games. NTDP and Oakland Jr. Grizzlies alum Joey Cassetti broke the combined shutout effort (Rowe and Knight both played a half) with under five minutes to go in regulation. Cassetti was one of four Michigan names participating in the contest; he was joined by natives Ethan Szmagaj and Patrick Guzzo (both Michigan commits), as well as OJG alum and Ferris State commit Logan Stein.
