MSU announces full 2017-18 hockey schedule

MSU fans can now officially plan out their trips to Munn Ice Arena next fall.

The Spartans have announced their full 2017-18 season schedule, and here are the highlights:

  • MSU opens the season with an exhibition contest against the University of Toronto on Oct. 7 at Munn.
  • Home-and-home with former CCHA foe Bowling Green on Oct. 13-14
  • Home-and-home with in-state rival Western Michigan on Oct. 20-21
  • Home-and-home with fellow Michigan program Ferris State on Nov. 17-18.
  • MSU hosts Lake Superior State on Oct. 27-28.
  • State’s first Big Ten home action will be on Nov. 10-11 against Wisconsin.
  • Notre Dame comes to Munn on Dec. 1-2.
  • A home-and-home with Michigan takes place on Dec. 8-9.
  • MSU will make its first-ever trip to Plymouth’s USA Hockey Arena to take on the NTDP Under-18 Team.
  • MSU will play Minnesota at Madison Square Garden on Jan. 20.
  • A weekend rematch with the Wolverines will take place on Feb. 9-10. The latter will be the MSU vs. UM “Duel in the D” game at Little Caesars Arena.
