Grosse Pointe South captain Adam Pitters made the jump to the NAHL when his high school hockey season ended.

Now, he’s also lined up his college hockey career.

The Grosse Pointe native, who played in five postseason games with the Aberdeen Wings at the end of the 2016-17 season, has committed to Bowling Green.

“It was an easy decision, I visited a few months ago and fell in love with the campus and facilities,” Pitters said, via a NAHL release. “I also talked with the coaches about the history, the way they coach and what kind of players they wanted.  I thought I’d fit right in with that description.  I couldn’t be happier to be a Falcon.  I would like to thank the Aberdeen Wings ownership staff and my teammates.”

Pitters posted 66 points in 26 games with GPS this past season, according to EliteProspects. He was a first-team all-state selection at the conclusion of the season.

While Pitters didn’t record any points in his ensuing NAHL call-up, he still impressed his coach.

“Adam plays with a lot of energy and work ethic,” said Wings Head Coach Scott Langer. “He has the ability to make plays and score timely goals. Adam will be a great fit for the Falcons of Bowling Green.”
