For the second consecutive season, the Michigan Amateur Hockey Association is looking for youth hockey players who have creativity on and off the ice.

MAHA is conducting its annual ‘MAHA State Playoff Logo’ design contest, which is open to all youth hockey players.

“Every year, we create a new look for our state playoff logo, and we want our own youth players to have a say in what it looks like,” said Kim Durka, executive vice president of MAHA. “We encourage players of all ages to show off their creative side and submit an original idea.”

The player who submits the winning design will receive a hockey stick (or goalie stick) of their choosing.

Submissions need to include the colors red, white, blue and black, and they need to remember that the design will be placed onto a pin that does not exceed 1 1/8 inches.

The logo must also include the words “2016-17 MAHA State Playoffs.”

Players can submit their creations to Kim Durka at KimDurka @ hotmail.com.
