NHL.com has featured the Detroit Red Wings for today’s “30 in 30” feature, as Detroit prepares to enter the Lidstrom-less era.

The Colorado Avalanche inked their top pick from the 2012 NHL Entry Draft (41st overall), Mitchell Heard, to an entry-level deal. The 20-year-old posted 57 points in 57 games with the Plymouth Whalers in 2011-12.

A chair-attack incident involving Anaheim Ducks GM Bob Murray and a stage manager in the Joe Louis Arena press box took an interesting turn today.
