Quick hits

We’re keeping Shaved Ice short and sweet today, because I was at the office rather late last night to produce another terrific issue of Michigan Hockey Magazine for our loyal readership. Then, I was the Detroit Red Wings’ High School Journalist Day to speak with aspiring writers this morning. Rewarding, fun, and hopefully educational for the kids…it just meant that there wasn’t much time for me to crank out the blog.

The Red Wings go for 22 straight at home tomorrow night against division-rival Nashville. It will be interesting to see how they handle another big game at the Joe, after clinching the new NHL record for consecutive home wins a few nights ago.
