Red Wings announce third annual ‘Hockeytown Red Carpet Walk’ for home opener

For the third straight season, the Red Wings will be hosting a red carpet celebration to kick off Opening Night.

Detroit has announced plans for the ‘Hockeytown Red Carpet Walk’ in the Chevrolet Plaza; it will begin at 4:15 p.m. and give fans the opportunity to see both current Red Wings players and alumni.

The event is expected to take place from 4:15 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.

Opening Night pregame festivities will start at 3 p.m. at the Chevrolet Plaza – with or without tickets, fans are invited to take part in the live music and entertainment, interactive games, food, drinks and more.

The pregame party is free to the general public and no ticket is required.
