Red Wings announce Traverse City dates for development camp, training camp, prospects tourney

Start making your vacation plans – the Red Wings’ Traverse City schedule is here.

The team will hold their annual prospects development camp on July 7-11 at Centre Ice Arena in Traverse City, their longtime “Hockeytown West” second home.

The NHL Prospects Tournament will take place Sept. 8-12, and then the Red Wings’ NHLers will show up for training camp on Sept. 15.

The prospects tournament annually features eight teams – the Red Wings, Chicago, Columbus, Dallas, Minnesota, New York (Rangers), St. Louis and defending champion Carolina. Over the tournament’s history, more than 500 skaters and 52 goalies have moved on to appear in an NHL contest, including 26 of the 35 players who played for the Wings last season.

The Wings’ training camp will go from Sept. 15-18, with the annual Training Camp Golf Classic taking place on Sept. 14 at the Grand Traverse Resort.
