Big Ten Tournament field is set

The tournament field is set for the upcoming 2017 Big Ten Men’s Ice Hockey Tournament at Joe Louis Arena.

The tournament will be the last college hockey games played at The Joe before the Red Wings move to Little Caesars Arena; the Big Ten will also be switching to campus sites for games moving forward.

No. 6 Michigan State will play No. 3 Ohio State at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, while No. 5 Michigan will follow. The Wolverines square off with No. 4 Penn State at 8 p.m.

The winner of the MSU/OSU game will play No. 2 Wisconsin; the winner of the UM/PSU game will play No. 1 Minnesota.
