Every season, USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program hosts a game that’s from a galaxy far, far away for a good cause.

The NTDP Under-17 Team’s Star Wars Night is slated for Saturday, Jan. 28 at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth.

The NTDP U17s will sport Star Wars inspired jerseys for the fourth time when they take on the Tri-City Storm.

UPDATE: The jerseys will feature the lovable BB-8 droid from “The Force Awakens.”

Previous jersey designs have featured Darth Vader (2014), Han Solo (2015) and a Stormtrooper (2016).

The jerseys are auctioned through the NHL Auctions page, and proceeds benefit C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor. Last year’s auction raised more than $7,300 for the hospital.

Festivities planned for Star Wars Night include appearances by characters represented by the 501st Legion and Rebel Legion costuming groups, as well as a ceremonial puck drop.
