The stay was short.

Tyler Bertuzzi has been sent back to Grand Rapids, the Red Wings announced today.

The 21-year-old forward was called up on Nov. 7, and he played in three games for the Wings during his stay.

Bertuzzi failed to record any points in his games against Philadelphia (Nov. 8), Vancouver (Nov. 10) and Montreal (Nov. 12).

The native of Sudbury, Ont., had two goals and two assists for four points in nine games with the Griffins before his call-up.

Last year, Bertuzzi – the Wings’ 58th overall pick in the 2013 Draft – recorded 30 points in 71 games in his first professional season in Grand Rapids.
