On Saturday, Dec. 17, fans in Metro Detroit have the chance to see Team USA take on Canada.

As part of the U.S. Olympic Committee’s Winter Champions Series, the U.S. and Canada’s women’s teams will square off at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth at 4:30 p.m.

The game serves as a preview for the upcoming IIHF Women’s World Championship, which will be taking place in Plymouth in April.

Tickets for the contest go on sale this Saturday at 10 a.m. at the USA Hockey Arena Box Office. Fans can also purchase tickets online at USAHockeyArena.com. Tickets are $15 each and all seats are reserved. Group discounts are available for 15 or more.

“We’re excited to be a part of the Winter Champions Series and fans in the greater Detroit area will be in for a special holiday treat with a chance to watch the best two teams in the world play,” said Mike Bertsch, assistant executive director of events, marketing and communications for USA Hockey. “There really is nothing quite like the USA-Canada rivalry in hockey.”

The game will also be broadcasted live on NBC Sports Network beginning at 4:30 p.m.
