Boys High School Hockey Players of the Week: Feb. 23 (presented by Lawrence Tech Hockey)

HS Hockey coverageThe Michigan High School Hockey Coaches’ Association and Lawrence Tech Hockey have teamed up to create new players of the week and players of the month awards, and they have formed a selection committee to help with the process.

Each week, the committee members will take the top nominated players by their respective coaches and high school programs and rank the individual performances. From there, players will be selected from their respective divisions as ‘players of the week.’

MiHockey editor Michael Caples is one of the committee members.

Here are the third Lawrence Tech Hockey High School Players of the Week (for games played from Feb. 15-21). Winners per region are in bold, honorable mentions are in italics.

North Region: Adam Jeannotte, Senior Forward, Cheboygan

Honorable Mention: Alex Nordstrom (Fr. Forward, Hancock), Ian Carroll (Sr. Goaltender, Calumet)

South Region: Glynn Robitaille, Senior Forward, Novi-Detroit Catholic Central

Honorable Mention: Connor Smith (Sr. Forward, Pinckney), Logan Anuszkiewicz (Jr. Forward, Jackson Lumen Christi)

Central Region: Andrew Michalowski, Senior Defenseman, Midland Dow

Honorable Mention: Brendan Smith (Jr. Forward, Flint Powers CC), Niko Montrose (Jr. Forward, Grand Ledge Fowlerville)
