On Saturday night, fans will have the opportunity to watch Dylan Larkin compete in three different events during the NHL All-Star Skills Competition.

The Red Wings’ rookie forward will take part in the fastest skater, the ‘skills challenge relay,’ and the shootout events.

Brandon Saad (Columbus), Erik Karlsson (Ottawa) and Kris Letang (Pittsburgh) will join Larkin on the Eastern Conference roster for the Bridgestone NHL Fastest Skater.

During the Gatorade NHL Skills Challenge Relay, Larkin will be the East’s representative for stickhandling. The event consists of one-timers, mini-net passing, puck control relays and goalie goals. Larkin will be the second stick-handler, following Claude Giroux (Philadelphia) in the first portion.

All players participate in the NHL Shootout, which looks to be the concluding event for the Skills Competition.

Eastern Conference player positionings for the events – excluding the NHL Breakaway Challenge that Larkin did not win the fan vote on – were selected by captains Jaromir Jagr and John Tavares.
