New Jersey high school team tries to play two goalies at once

By @MichaelCaples –

Be honest, we’ve all thought about it before.

“Jeez, we might as well try to play with two goalies right now.”

Well, a high school team in New Jersey actually tried it. It didn’t work, but major props to the coaches for actually trying it.

Obviously the Tenafly coaching staff was onto something, because they ended up losing 10-0 to St. Joes Montvale. Had they been allowed to keep both tendies in there, though…well, we’ll let your imagination take it from there.

We don’t know how it would have worked, of course. Does one goalie take one half of the net and the other one defend the other? Does one try to stop everything and then the other stops the shots that get through? There’s so many options, so many things to think about…too bad we’ll never know.
