Eight Michigan names set to represent U.S. at World Under-17 Hockey Challenge

The U.S. contingent competing at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge will have quite a few Michigan names on the roster.

Nine Michigan natives or longtime residents will compete in the tournament beginning this weekend in Dawson Creek and Fort St. John, British Columbia.

The roster is primarily made up of USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program Under-17 Team, with some additions to the roster for the special tournament.

Michigan names included:

 

Dylan St. Cyr – Northville – NTDP U17 Team – University of Michigan commit

Josh Norris – Oxford – NTDP U17 Team – University of Michigan commit

Logan Cockerill – Brighton – NTDP U17 Team – Boston University commit

Tommy Miller – West Bloomfield – Victory Honda AAA – Michigan State commit

*Sasha Chmelevski – Northville – Sarnia Sting

Michael Pastujov – Bradenton, Fla. (Honeybaked alum) – NTDP U17 Team – University of Michigan commit

Quinn Hughes – Orlando, Fla. – NTDP U17 Team – University of Michigan commit

Joey Cassetti – Pleasanton, Calif. (Oakland Jr. Grizzlies alum) – NTDP U17 Team – Boston College commit

 

*Not officially on Team USA roster, but announced by his OHL club.
