The Detroit Red Wings have announced that Johan Franzen is back on the injured list.

After not playing in Tuesday night’s game against Tampa Bay, Jeff Blashill (as reported by the team’s Twitter account) said that Franzen is experiencing post concussion-like symptoms once again. He has been placed on injured reserve.

Franzen, limited to only 33 games last year, has had a series of concussion-related injuries in his career.

The 35-year-old forward recorded one assist in his two appearances this season. He had expressed optimism about returning to the line-up throughout the summer and preseason.
