The Detroit Red Wings announced their 2015 training camp schedule today, which means the NHL season is getting that much closer.

The team kicks off training camp with the Training Camp Golf Classic on Sept. 17 at the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa, with proceeds benefiting Citizens Enterprises, a non-profit organization providing affordable skating programs in Northern Michigan.

Daily on-ice practices and scrimmages will begin on Friday, Sept. 18, with the first group hitting the ice at 9:30 a.m. at Centre Ice Arena in Traverse City. The roster will be split into three teams – Team Delvecchio, Team Howe and Team Lindsay – as they practice and scrimmage during camp.

A finalized roster will be released later this summer.
