Brandon Halverson named OHL goaltender of the month for February

Traverse City native Brandon Halverson added another milestone to an already impressive OHL career today.

The Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds netminder was named the ‘Vaughn OHL Goaltender of the Month’ for February today, after he played to an 8-1 record with two shutouts, a 2.000 goals-against average and .933 save percentage during the time frame.

Halverson, a New York Rangers draftee, ranks second in the OHL with 34 wins this season. He is 34-4-0-2 on the season, with a .912 save percentage and 2.73 goals-against average. His Sault Ste. Marie squad has already clinched the West Division, with a 47-11-0-2 record on the season.

In his two OHL seasons, Halverson holds a career 46-10-1-2 record, a .909 save percentage and a 2.81 goals-against average. The Victory Honda, Little Caesars and Oakland Jr. Grizzlies alum was a 2012 OHL Priority Selection draft pick of the Greyhounds.
