MSU goaltender Jake Hildebrand takes top B1G weekly spot

For the second straight week, Michigan State goaltender Jake Hildebrand has claimed the No. 1 star from the Big Ten.

The conference announced today that Hildebrand is their first star of the week, after the Spartans’ netminder backstopped his team to a 2-1 win over rival Michigan Friday night at Joe Louis Arena.

Hildebrand stopped 29 of the 30 shots he faced in the contest, playing a crucial role in his team limiting the top scoring offense in the country.
