It didn’t take long for Abby Roque to make an impact at the 2015 IIHF Under-18 Women’s World Championship.

The Sault Ste. Marie native scored the game-winning goal in a shootout against Canada last night, giving Team USA a win in their first game of their tournament over their biggest rival.

Roque, who plays high school hockey in Sault Ste. Marie, is the lone Michigan native on the U.S. roster. Check out the highlights below; Roque’s goal comes near the 2-minute mark.
