Twenty-three girls selected for USA national player development camps

On April 25-27 in Grand Rapids, MAHA gathered 154 girls’ hockey players and goaltenders for USA Hockey national player development camp tryouts.

The girls competed amongst their various age groups (1997-2000) to represent Michigan at the national camps, which will be held in St. Cloud, Minn., in July.

2000 age group

Kayla Martinez – Defense

Abby Latorella – Forward

Anna Segedi – Forward

Lena Carabelli – Forward

Alexandra Yorks – Goaltender

Julia McLellan – At-Large

 

1999 age group

Melanie Anderson – Defense

Delaney Drake – Forward

Grace Markey – Forward

Megan Roe – Forward

Kaitlyn Blumberg – Forward

Carlie Magier – At-Large

Kate Froling – Goaltender

Delaney Szlezyngier – At-Large

Lauren Rippy – At-Large

 

1998 age group

Jane Groetsch – Defense

Laura Lundblad – Forward

Amanda Harris – Forward

Breanna Scarpaci – At-Large

 

1997 age group

Morgan Stacey – Defense

Abby Roque – Forward

Brooke Baker – Forward

Lea Boreland – At-Large

 

At-large selections are not guaranteed spots until all camps are over and USA Hockey has made their final selections. USA Hockey selects the goalies for U18, so no goalies are selected from the ’97 or ’98 age groups.
