Six Michigan natives capture USHL’s Clark Cup

By Michael Caples –

It took every second worth of hockey the series could offer, but the Indiana Ice prevailed.

In a winner-take-all Game 5 of the USHL Clark Cup Finals, Indiana recorded two goals in the third period – one scored by Kentwood native Alex Talcott (see video interview), one set up by Saline native Aidan Muir – to beat the Waterloo Black Hawks 3-2 and claim the league title.

Six Michigan natives (all profiled below) were on the victorious Indiana squad, who was playing possibly their last game in franchise history. The Ice will go dormant next season.

Congrats to the six Michigan natives and the rest of the Ice on capturing the USHL title.
