The Big Ten league office announced their stars of the week today, and Alex Guptill was one of the three names on the list.

The Wolverines’ junior forward recorded three points last weekend in Michigan’s home-and-home series with the Ohio State Buckeyes, good enough to earn him the second star of the week for B1G hockey.

Guptill scored both of Michigan’s goals in Friday’s 2-2 tie and shootout loss, the latter of which was the game-tying mark with 5:16 left in regulation.

He also added an assist in Sunday’s 4-3 victory at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.

Guptill ranks second in the Big Ten with 110 shots and 4.23 shots per game this season.

Minnesota’s Travis Boyd and Adam Wilcox took the first and third stars, respectively.
