Michigan high school hockey state semifinal scores

Michigan high school hockey has officially taken over Compuware Arena in Plymouth.

The teams still standing from the state tournament are competing in the semifinals of their respective divisions. The Division 2 final has been decided, while there’s still a few games to go for Division 1 and Division 3.

Here are the scores:

Thursday’s Division 2 state semifinal games:

Trenton 7, De La Salle 0 – Another impressive win for the Trenton Trojans, as they move on to the Division 2 state title game. Nicholas Bondy had a hat trick for the Trojans, while Quinn Preston, Phillip Pugliese, Mitchell Galea and Justin Dunn also scored. Nick Ramirez picked up the shutout in goal.

Hartland 2, Reeths-Puffer 1 – Chris McRae, fresh off scoring the game-winner in the quarterfinals – scored the deciding goal for Hartland once again – this time recording a second-period goal that proved to be the difference in a 2-1 win for Hartland.

Friday’s Division 3 state semifinal games:

Sault Ste. Marie 6, Monroe St. Mary Catholic Central 2 – Will Gauthier recorded a hat trick to lead the Blue Devils to a 6-2 win in the state semifinals. Now, the Blue Devils get another chance at a state title, after they fell in the D3 final to Cranbrook last season.

Farmington 2, Grand Rapids Catholic Central 1 – Game concluded at roughly 3:15 p.m.

Friday’s Division 1 state semifinal games:

Brighton 4, U of D Jesuit 3 – It took overtime, but the Bulldogs found a way to get past the the Cubs for their third straight trip to the Division 1 title game.

Grandville vs. Detroit Catholic Central – 7:30 p.m.
