Reports: Brian Rafalski will retire once again

Sounds like Brian Rafalski’s comeback has come to an early end.

Multiple news outlets are reporting that the former Red Wings defenseman and Dearborn native has been cut by the ECHL’s Florida Everblades, after the former Stanley Cup champion signed with them just earlier this month.

“I’m done,” Rafalski told the Ft. Myers News-Press. “My back is no good. That was one of the hurdles.”

Rafalski played three games with the Everblades, recording one assist and a +1 rating.
