Three Michigan natives invited to U.S. Women’s Under-18 Winter Festival

USA Hockey announced today the 28 players invited to the the U.S. Women’s National Under-18 Winter Festival, Dec. 27-31, at Schwan’s Super Rink in Blaine, Minn., and three of them call Michigan home.

Megan Keller, Tori Sullivan and Abby Roque will be Michigan’s representatives at the Winter Festival, which serves as a tryout for the U.S. Women’s National Under-18 Team.

The girls selected for that team will take part in the International Ice Hockey Federation Women’s Under-18 World Championship, March 23-30, 2014, in Budapest, Hungary.

Keller, a 5’10” defenseman from Farmington Hills, currently plays for Honeybaked. Fellow invite Sullivan – a 5’5″ forward from West Bloomfield – also plays for the Honeybaked squad.

Roque, a Sault Ste. Marie native, currently skates for Sault Area High School’s varsity boys team, along with playing for Little Caesars.
