Reid Boucher scores shootout goal in first NHL game

Grand Ledge native Reid Boucher made his NHL debut last night, and the former Lansing Capitals star handled a high-pressure situation.

After recording an assist and a +2 rating in regulation, Boucher was called upon in the shootout, and he scored for his New Jersey Devils squad.

He’s no stranger to scoring goals, of course; Boucher broke Steven Stamkos’ goals record during his days with the Sarnia Sting.

Unfortunately for Boucher and the Devils, the Montreal Canadiens still prevailed in the shootout.
