FSU’s Robertson named WCHA offensive POW; Clinton Township’s Misuraca also honored

It was another weekend full of wins for the Ferris State hockey team, and one of their forwards is getting recognized for his contributions during said time frame.

Sophomore forward Matt Robertson extended his goal-scoring streak to seven games during the Bulldogs’ weekend road sweep against Lake Superior State last weekend, and in the process secured the WCHA’s offensive player of the week selection.

The Rohnert Park, Calif., native scored goals in both games, including a game-winner, while adding an an assist and skating to a +3 rating. Meanwhile, his Bulldogs increased their unbeaten streak to 13 games.

Meanwhile, Clinton Township native Frank Misuraca, a sophomore defenseman for Alabama-Huntsville, took home defensive player of the week honors from the WCHA. The Chargers’ blue-liner scored the game-winner with :03.4 seconds left in overtime to give UAH a road win at Bowling Green.
