12U Boys – District 6

14U Boys – District 7

Check out this article on the Meijer State Games for more information about what was going on in Grand Rapids this weekend.

Congrats to the Kalamazoo Optimist Hockey Association for being named one of four new USA Hockey Model Association programs.

The Marquette Electricians will have a new coach – former Northern Michigan standout Jim Jackson is taking over behind the bench for the AAA program.

The MWJHL announced that they will have eight teams competing in the league next year, with seven of them calling Michigan home. Check out this link for more info on the AAU-sanctioned junior league.

And the same management team that runs the Michigan Warriors will be taking over the Flint Junior Generals for the upcoming season, as well. Firland Management LLC also oversees Perani Arena in Flint.

Awesome video showing the Griffins’ celebration after capturing the Calder Cup.

The Cup will be in the building tonight, as the Blackhawks have their first chance to secure a NHL championship in Boston. HOWEVER, Detroit’s NBC affiliate has decided that they would rather air the fireworks taking place in the city tonight. So, if you want to watch the game, you’ll have to catch it on WADL TV 38…or CBC. Thanks for deciding that this game isn’t very important…

The Bruins will be trying to avoid elimination, and they might have to do it without Patrice Bergeron. However, the ‘Hawks may be without captain Jonathan Toews.

The Red Wings’ future division rival in Toronto picked up a new goalie yesterday – the Leafs acquired Jonathan Bernier from the Kings for Matt Frattin, Ben Scrivens and a second round pick in either the 2014 or 2015 NHL Draft.

The Canadiens have bought out the contract of defenseman Tomas Kaberle.

Something to get you fired up for tonight’s big game.

It’s a hockey night tonight.
