The Red Wings tied their series with the Ducks up late last night out in Anaheim, with Gustav Nyquist being the hero. The former college standout scored his first postseason goal in OT to make sure the Wings didn’t lose after they blew a 4-1 lead in the third period.
The bad news for the Wings is that Danny DeKeyser might be done for the playoffs after breaking his hand. The Clay Township native and former Western Michigan Bronco has been a major boost to the Red Wings’ blue line since he signed with them in March. He’s our Michi-gamer of the day, because we had to celebrate his success somehow.
Grand Rapids returns to action tonight with a chance to move onto the next round. The Griffins won Game 3 on Wednesday to take control of the series.
