Happy Friday, everyone.

What a night for Torey Krug. The Livonia native and former captain of the Spartans scored his first NHL goal…in his first NHL playoff game. A blast from the left face-off circle managed to find its way past Henrik Lundqvist, tying the game for the Bruins – a game they would eventually win in overtime.

The Red Wings get back at it tomorrow afternoon in Chicago. Helene St. James of the Free Press says the club’s working on improving their special teams – the Wings need to capitalize on power-play opportunities whenever they can get them against the Blackhawks.

The Griffins return to action tonight for Game 4 of their series with the Toronto Marlies. A win would give Grand Rapids a 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven series.
