Rough night for the Red Wings.

Despite Val Filppula giving the Red Wings the early lead, the Phoenix Coyotes ended up beating Detroit in a late-night (for us) tilt out West. Dan Cleary scored in the third to pull the Red Wings within 1, but an empty-netter sealed the deal for the Coyotes, as they won 4-2.

Dan DeKeyser talked to Bill Roose of the Wings’ official site – here’s what the Clay Township native had to say about waiting for his NHL debut to come.
