After a huge win over Los Angeles last night, the Red Wings are right back at it again today. The club welcomes the Nashville Predators to The Joe, with two more crucial points on the line. Latest reports indicate that Johan Franzen won’t miss any time after an injury yesterday, which could mean that Todd Bertuzzi doesn’t crack the line-up.

In other news, the Plymouth Whalers fell to the London Knights 6-4 yesterday, putting them on the brink of elimination in the OHL playoffs. The Knights host Game 5 Friday night in London.

In the Western Conference, the idle Minnesota Wild will clinch a playoff berth if the Dallas Starsdefeat the Columbus Blue Jackets in regulation. Speaking of Team USA, the U-18 team took out Sweden by a score of 4-0 in the quarterfinals of the U-18 Worlds taking place in Russia.

Ann Arbor native Jeff Petry and Warren native Matt Hunwick were just named as two of the members of the Team USA World Championship roster.
