Try a Covert, meet Howard and Gustavsson at Livonia Perani’s this Saturday

By Michael Caples –

It’s not often that hockey players have a chance to test-drive a stick before they make a purchase.

With that in mind, Warrior is letting metro Detroit players try out their new Covert sticks at Perani’s Hockey World in Livonia this Saturday.

From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., players can come to “The Toy Store for the Hockey Player” and try out the new stick line during Warrior’s ‘Built Better’ demo event.

Players and fans that attend the demo day in Livonia – Perani’s is located at the corner of Seven Mile and Middlebelt – will also have the opportunity to meet Red Wings goaltenders Jimmy Howard and Jonas Gustavsson. The Warrior Players Club members will be signing autographs from noon to 1 p.m.

The event is part of the Michigan-based company’s ‘Covert Built Better Guarantee’ – Warrior is letting players send their sticks back to the company within the first 30 days of purchase for either an exchange or a return.

“The Covert stick line is truly Built Better, and we’re standing behind the great feel and durability of these sticks by guaranteeing that you’ll love them, and feeling really is believing with our Covert sticks,” said Christine Knight, brand manager for Warrior Hockey. “If you don’t like your DT1 or DT2 stick for any reason within the first 30 days, we’ll exchange the stick or refund your money, no questions asked.  On top of that, you can now try before you buy and come shoot on some real goalies this Saturday at Perani’s.  Our Warrior specialists will match you up to the right stick for you on-site – don’t miss it.”

The ‘Covert Built Better Guarantee’ program is offered for all Covert DT1 and DT2 stick models purchased from Nov. 20 to Jan. 20.
