The NCAA announced yesterday that hand passes will not be allowed anywhere on the ice, among other rule changes for all of college hockey.

Six Michigan natives have been selected for the CCM/USA Hockey All-American Prospects Game, set to take place Sept. 29 at the First Niagara Center in Buffalo, N.Y.  The selected players include Dawson Cook (Cadillac), Mike McCarron (Macomb), Evan Allen (Sterling Heights), Tyler Motte (St. Clair), Mike Downing (Canton) and Trevor Hamilton (Grosse Pte. Farms).

The Red Wings have released their promotional schedule for the 2012-13 season.
