The University of Nebraska-Omaha has announced that assistant coach Brian Renfrew has accepted a scouting position with the NHL’s Winnipeg Jets. Renfrew spent the 2011-12 season with UNO, but had spent the previous eight seasons at Michigan State.

The NAHL has announced that the High Performance Hockey League will be participating at their annual Showcase Tournament in Minnesota.

If you happen to be reading from Ontario and would like to meet comedians Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis, the duo starring in the upcoming movie “The Campaign” will be making a special live appearance at the Hockey Hall of Fame today around 4 p.m. I guess you don’t have to be reading this from Ontario; it’s only about a four hour drive from our office.
