Hall of Famer and former hard-hitting defenseman Scott Stevens will be joining the team he captained to three Stanley Cups. The New Jersey Devils have hired Stevens as an assistant coach to former Plymouth Whalers coach Pete DeBoer, who led the Devils to the Stanley Cup Finals this past June.

To stay on the coaching front, the Washington Capitals have hired former player Calle Johansson as an assistant coach to new head coach Adam Oates.
