The AHL Final hasn’t been short on drama thus far.

A day after Tomas Nosek scored in the final minute to give the Griffins a Game 1 win, Ben Street scored the game-winner for the Griffins tonight in Game 2.

When did the goal come? Double overtime.

The Griffins and the Syracuse Crunch played to a 5-5 tie in regulation, and then they played 27:02 worth of overtime action before Street scored in the second overtime session.

Martin Frk opened the scoring for the Griffins in Game 2, while Street also scored in the opening frame. Evgeny Svechnikov scored halfway through the second period to give the Griffins a 3-3 tie, before the Crunch managed to erase leads on goals from Tomas Nosek and Tyler Bertuzzi in the third to force overtime.
