Red Wings call up Filip Zadina

It’s been hard to keep up with all of the Red Wings’ roster moves of late, but this one will catch your attention.

Filip Zadina has been called up from Grand Rapids.

Tonight, the Red Wings host the Carolina Hurricanes; no word yet on whether the top prospect will be in the line-up or not.

Zadina has appeared in 19 AHL games for the Griffins this season, recording seven goals and 13 points. He registered a six-game points streak between Nov. 8 and Nov. 22.

On Nov. 18, Red Wings coach Jeff Blashill said Zadina had been injured; he has since played in three games.

Detroit also announced today that Mike Green has been placed on injured reserve, retroactive to Nov. 19.
