Alec Regula signs entry-level contract with Blackhawks

Alec Regula was traded to the Chicago Blackhawks on Oct. 28.

The West Bloomfield native is now officially a member of the Original Six franchise.

Regula has signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Blackhawks, he announced today on Instagram along side the team’s release.

Originally a third-round pick of his hometown Red Wings, Regula has been thriving in his third season with the London Knights. He has 15 points in 14 games, along with a +14 rating.

Detroit traded him to Chicago in exchange for Brendan Perlini on Oct. 28.

Regula is a Cranbrook Kingswood, Compuware and HoneyBaked alum.
