Big Ten 2019-20 hockey schedule unveiled; when the Wolverines, Spartans will meet

On Wednesday, the Big Ten released its schedule for the upcoming 2019-20 hockey season.

All seven teams will open Big Ten play in the first two weeks of November, with Michigan on the road against reigning Big Ten champion Ohio State the first weekend and Michigan State visiting Penn State the following weekend.

Friday, Nov. 15 will mark the first of four Big Ten battles between the Spartans and Wolverines, a tilt in Ann Arbor. The next night, the teams will square off in East Lansing. The rival schools will also meet on Friday, Feb. 14 at Munn Ice Arena and Monday, Feb. 17 at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit for the annual Duel in the D.

The 2020 Big Ten Tournament will open March 6-8 with the games being played on the higher-seeded schools’ campus sites. The championship game is ultimately slated for Saturday, March 21.
