Rochester native Max Jones tweeted that it was about time.
He’s probably being a little too hard on himself, though.
The Rochester native scored his first NHL goal on Friday for the Anaheim Ducks – in his 17th NHL game.
The 21-year-old scored a highlight-reel goal that was the icing on the cake in a Ducks’ 8-2 win over Montreal in Anaheim.
And what he had to say afterwards:
About time😂 A goal I'll never forget! Thank you to everyone who supported me along the way, and the fans @HondaCenter that made this extra special. Feels good to get that first one out of the way! pic.twitter.com/juE0HdvEvB
