Red Wings announce return of ‘Paint the Ice’ event at Little Caesars Arena

By @StefanKubus –

For the third straight year, the Red Wings are hosting a ‘Paint the Ice’ event.

On Friday, April 12, by making a donation to the Detroit Red Wings Foundation, fans can reserve a time slot online to paint a personal message on a section of the ice at Little Caesars Arena.

Time slots come in 30-minute increments, beginning at 4:00 p.m. and ending at 8:00 p.m., with each slot limited to 150 participants. Paint and paintbrushes will be provided for all attendees and complimentary parking is included with the donation. Painting locations are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

“Building upon the success of Paint the Ice last season, the Detroit Red Wings Foundation is excited to bring this unique, family-friendly event back to Little Caesars Arena,” Director of Community Relations & Detroit Red Wings Foundation Kevin Brown said in a release. “Paint the Ice offers fans of all ages an exclusive opportunity to create memorable moments on the same ice surface as their favorite Red Wings players – all while supporting the growth of hockey across Michigan.”

The minimum donation for adults and children ages 11 an older is $23 per person. Participants under 11-years-old are $10 each, while children under 2-years-old are free.
