Four Nations champions…again.

In the first major international tournament since the 2018 Olympics, Team USA met rival Canada in the championship game of the Four Nations Cup Saturday night, and the Americans took care of business out in Saskatoon.

Team USA recorded a 5-2 win over their favorite foe to win their fourth straight Four Nations championship, dating back to 2015.

“Whenever these two teams get together, it’s always a great battle,” said Bob Corkum, U.S. Women’s National Team head coach, via a USA Hockey release. “We were able to score two goals and gain momentum early, take care of the puck and with some spectacular saves from Rigsby, we were able to get the job done.”

Hilary Knight led the tournament in scoring, racking up seven points in four games. Megan Keller, the lone Michigan native on the roster, was one of the anchors on the blue line, while recording one assist in the four contests.

Team USA recorded a 5-1 win over Finland to start the tournament on Nov. 6, and a 2-1 victory over Canada the next night. After recording a 5-1 win over Sweden, the American squad secured a spot in the championship game against their northern neighbors, where they finished off a perfect 4-0 record.
