The special day for the Stars is part of the NHL’s Hockey is for Everyone month; Justin Abdelkader serves as the team’s ambassador for the program.

MiHockey got this message on our Facebook video post from LeaAnn Winner, one of the Motor City Stars:

I had so much fun too , Truly the best experience ever ! I am so blessed to be on this team ⭐️, because hockey is supposed to be fun – and of course little competitive. But it really makes you come together and be a TEAM ❤️ !! Thank you again for having us Red Wings , to be able to watch a practice, and meet you in person , was so cool . And the donations of the new equipment was well appreciated😊 Today was so meaningful and We will never forget it .
For special Hockey to be recognized , means the world to me … because HOCKEY IS FOR EVERYONE!!
